Dates Appe is a delicious, sweet recipe. It’s made with Wholewheat so it is healthy.Lots of dates are used in it which is again very nutritious, it is rich in vitamin, protein, calcium and iron. Its perfect for quick snack and kids can have this in their tiffin also.

Ingredients

  • Whole Wheat flour - 1 cup
  • Milk - 1 cup
  • Sugar- 2 tbsp
  • Green Cardamom powder - 2 pinch
  • Cashew nut chopped - 1/4 cup
  • Baking powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Dates - 12- 14 pieces

Method

Step 1

Grind dates,sugar with half of the milk. Or soak dates in milk for 20 minutes then grind.

Step 2

Now in a bowl add flour baking powder and add dates paste mix it add remaining milk.

Step 3

If needed you can add more milk. Mix nicely so that there is no lump.

Step 4

At last add Chopped cashew nut and green cardamom powder.

Step 5

Keep aside for 5 minutes.

Step 6

Now heat the appe pan on medium flame and grease with 1/4 tsp of oil .

Step 7

Pour 1 tbsp of batter in each mould.

Step 8

Cook using 1 tsp of oil on low flame until the lower surface becomes golden brown.

Step 9

Then turn each appe upside down using the fork so as to cook them from the other side as well.

Step 10

Repeat the same with the remaining batter to make more appe.

Step 11

Sweet appe is ready to serve.
