Egg Chila or Egg Besan Pancake is a very simple and tasy breakfast recipe. Egg chila is an easy-peasy nutritious recipe, besan (chickpeas flour) is rich in fiber, iron , potassium,manganese and egg is rich in iron,vitamins,minerals and carotenoid. And both are good source of protein. This recipe can make a significant contribution to your healthy diet.
- Egg - 1
- Besan / Chickpeas Flour - 3 tbsp
- Onion - Chopped (1 tbsp)
- Tomato - Chopped (1/2 tbsp)
- Coriander - chopped
- Green Chilly - chopped (as per taste)
- Turmeric powder - 1/5 tsp
- Salt as per taste
- Chilly Flakes (optional)
- Oil - 1/2 tbsp
- Cheese grated (optional)
In a bowl add besan, salt as per taste, turmeric powder and add water gradually to get desired consistency, neither dry nor too runny.
And mix nicely so that no lumps are left. Besan mixture is ready.
In another bowl whisk egg and salt keep it aside.
Now grease the griddle and pour one ladle of besan mixture and spread it all over the griddle.
Cook on low flame for 30 seconds when upper layer dries then pour whisked egg on it and spread all over the besan chilla.
Then add chopped tomato,onion,green chilly,coriander.And cover with a lit and cook on medium flame for 1 minute.If you want spread grated cheese.
Drizzle little oil all around the chilla and carefully flip and cook other side of the Egg chila also.
Sprinkle chilly flakes and serve Egg Chila hot with mint chutney or ketchup.
