Hare moong ka paratha is super healthy and delicious protein packed recipe. Made with whole moong dal mixed with little spices and wheat flour.
- Green Moong Dal - 1/2 cup (soaed for 5 hrs)
- Whole Wheat Flour - 1 cup
- Onion - 1 chopped
- Green chilly - as per taste chopped
- Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
- Salt - as per taste
- Red chilly powder - as per taste
- Kalonji /onion seed - 1/2 tsp
- Ajwain / carrom seed - 1/2 tsp
- Vegetable oil - to cook paratha
Soak mong dal overnight or for 4-5 hrs.Then wash it and boil it, till it turns soft.
Then discard the water and mash the dal. In mashed dal add all the ingredients except oil.
Mix nicely and make dough by adding little water. Dough should be little hard not very soft.
For making parathas pinch out a small sized ball from the dough.
Now gently flatten the ball with rolling pin. Dust with flour and roll out to a flat disc of about 5-6 inches.
Heat a tava (griddle) place the paratha and apply oil on both side,turn over time to time and cook till both sides turn golden brown.
Serve hot with vegetable or curd.
