Chilla one of the most common breakfast recipe made almost all over India with variations. Mini Cheese chilla is just another version to make kids eat healthy chilla. In my upcoming post I will update more toppings and stuffing for these chilla. Mini cheese chilla is quick recipe to fulfill your anytime carving.


  • Rava/ Semolina - 1/2 cup
  • Besan/ Gram Flour - 1/2 cup
  • Curd - 1/4 cup
  • Turmeric powder - 1/5 tsp
  • Red chilly powder - as per taste
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Onion - 1 tbsp (chopped)
  • Green chilly - Chopped (optional)
  • Chopped vegetables (1tbsp) optional
  • Processed cheese - 1 cube
  • Vegetable oil to shallow fry
  • Water-1/2 cup or as much required.


Step 1

In a bowl add rava, besan, curd and mix.

Step 2

Now add water to make batter like dosa.

Step 3

Then add salt, turmeric powder and red chilly powder.

Step 4

Keep it aside for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes if you see batter is thick add little water.

Step 5

Add chopped onion and green chilly. Chopped veggies(optional)

Step 6

Heat Tava grease it with oil and pour the batter in small portions and spread it gently to make mini chilla.

Step 7

Now add little oil and flip the chilla, press it to cook. cook on medium flame.

Step 8

Once both sides turn golden then remove the chilla.

Step 9

Arrange all the chilla in plate grate processed cheese on it .

Step 10

Now serve Mini cheese chilla with tomato ketchup or chutney of your choice.
