Paneer Tikka is one of the most popular starter of North India. Paneer tikka can easily made at home. Basically it is a tandoori dish, but we can make it on tava or SKT or any griddle. Paneer,capsicum and onion is marinated with yogurt and spices and grilled to perfection. In this recipe I have used Home made Paneer .
- Paneer / Cottge Cheese - 200gms
- Capsicum - 1 medium size cut in cubes
- Onion - 1 medium size cut in cubes
- Hung Curd - 2 tbsp
- Ginger Garlic paste- 2 tsp
- Salt as per taste
- Red chilly - 1tsp or as per taste
- Turmeric powder - 1/2tsp
- Garam Masala - 1/2 tsp
- Tandoori Masala Powder - 1 tsp (optional)
- Oil 1 tbsp
Cut Paneer into 1/4 inch cubes and remove each layer of the onion cubes. Make sure that all veggies and paneer are of same size.
Now in a bowl whisk hund curd,add all spices and mix properly.
Now add in the paneer and veggies and mix. Mix gently so that paneer cubes doesn't break.
Keep aside for 30 minutes to 3hrs in fridge.
Arrange paneer and veggies in skewers. Grease a pan or tava or any griddle.
Place skewers on it, cook on medium flame. When one side turns golden brown filp it. Likewise cook all the sides.
Now sprinkle chat masala. and serve hot with salad and green chutney.
